Landscape painting of a derelict farmhouse and stone outhouses at Meenacladdy. The vast Donegal sky dominates this scene.  Mount Errigal and the Seven Sisters Mountains can be seen in the distance. I really like their rounded shape. They are not like other mountain ranges in Donegal.

There are a surprising number of abandoned farms and homes in West Donegal. Some are still be used by farmers as barns and sheds, others have new large houses close by so I can only assume that the families have updated their living space. I like to capture a sense of what the county was like thirty, maybe fifty years ago before they are all gone
