This a variation of a painting that was commissioned a few weeks ago. I was going to add windows but then I decided I liked it as it was. It gave me the sense that Derry/Londonderry is still waiting to be properly filled in. The north-west gets relatively little funding compared with Belfast. This is a city waiting to blossom.

ORIGINAL ART BY Emma Cownie – Finest quality acrylic gouache   painting on board – Only the highest quality archival fine art acrylic paints (Turner) are used on the surface.  Matt varnish has been used to protect the painting from UV damage. The wood panel edges are unpainted. This work can be hung on the wall without the need for a frame.
