Waiting for Ilston Stream to return

We have been regularly walking our Border Collie, Effie, along Ilston Cwm since late summer. The Cwm (valley) is a wooded crease in the landscape lined by a stream that flows towards the sea at Three Cliffs Bay. Once past Parkmill it is known as Pennard Pill.

Farewell to Derry City

As a good bye to Derry and am holding a sale of paintings of the beautiful city. It runs until the end of the month.
Ardara – One of the best (and most colourful) villages in Ireland !

The main street of Ardara is dotted with cafes, bars and wool/tweed shops because this is a centre of the dyeing and weaving of Donegal wool. Ardara people are very friendly and welcoming. The villages in the south of Donegal are a lot more colourful than the ones in the northern part where white seems to be more in fashion
