A sitting with a golden Gower Cow, while standing. This is another in this Studio Cow “sittings” series hence the whimsical title. This cow was by the edge of a cliff, cooling herself on the sea breeze. Transported to the “studio” she looks very studied, almost Victorian in her bearing. I have long loved painting Cows, they are excellent subjects to paint and some of my favourite animals.  The portraits show the nobility of these animals, their size contrast with gentleness. These paintings show each personality and individuality. Their uniqueness to be cherished.
