Painswick is known as “The Queen of the Cotswolds“. Legend has it that there are ninety-nine yew trees in Painswick Churchyard. These trees are all numbered and there are a couple of “extra” yew trees, I loved the way the light illuminated the rich greeens of the clipped trees and cast long shadows across the churchyard.
