Gola Island, less than 2km from the mainland at Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore), has been uninhabited since the 1960’s. Spring light warms the brickwork of homes and derelict buildings on Gola Island, as you look from Dunmore Strand in The Rosses, Donegal, Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way.
This painting was included in the Glynn Vivian Open Exhibition 2019/2020.
