Upper Dreen, County Tyrone
An acrylic painting on linen canvas.
24’x18′ / 61x45cm
Abandoned farm buildings at Upper Dreen, in a remote part of the Sperrin Moutains, Co. Tyrone, Ireland. Early spring sees slivery sunshine warming the rough grasslands. Up in the mountains the grass is dotted with clumps of reeds. This is sheep country. The two old houses maybe no longer be in use but the outhouse certainly is. It is a very peaceful place. Cars and tractors are few and far between up here and farmers invariably give a friendly wave.
