Delighted to say I have just SOLD this giclee print of “Night Time in the Mumbles” via artgallery.co.uk
This oil painting is of Ilston Cwm and the bridge, over The Killy Willy, leading to Parkmill. I have painted this bridge in a number of paintings previously sold on Artfinder but this is the first painting from underneath the bridge.
What a spectacular scene there is under bridges as the sun lights the water and this reflects on the underside of the bridge. Here it also illuminates the river bed through which we see an array of autumnal colours through the translucent, rippling water. It is a magical sight and I hope I have caught some of this visual excitement in this painting.

Delighted to say I have just SOLD “Ilston Brook” directly via my Art Gallery, the “Back Lane Gallery” here in Brynmill Swansea (the lane is the opposite the Rhyddings Pub.)
This oil painting was SOLD to a lovely art collector who visited from Cardiff and had a private viewing before buying this lovely oil painting! I hope to sell more paintings directly via my The Back Lane Gallery in the coming months and years.
“A “refractionist” interpretive oil painting of a brook running through a wood near Ilston in the Gower Peninsula. The winter light combines with the grey haze of barren branched trees to create subtle, almost misty, pinks and purples, softened by the reflective silvery water.”

A new painting – 30 x 30cm – £135 -“Suzi Sheep”
Oil painting and animal portrait of a rather characterful seehp which cam e my way when visiting th beautiful Costwolds in Gloucestershire. The the plastic “rings” and her tufty hair, which resembled a mohican, reminded me of the post punk movement I grew up with. This sheep looked strangely like a veteran from that era.
As Suzi Sioux was one of my favourite singers from that era I decided to called this sheep Suzi in homage to Suzi and the Banshees.
Delighted to say I have just SOLD “Stroud” via Artfinder
– this is a naive painting of Stroud in the Cotswolds, England – I loved the higgledy-piggledy nature of the buildings, all bunched up and leaning against each other for earthy warmth and support.
A fellow artist said she liked the bounciness of the reds – these brick reds do seem to create an affect of undulation through the hill side as a result. as a result. The waving trees of browns, yellow and green add to this effect.
